The number 77 in the Neapolitan smorfia is represented by devils. The Devil or Satan and the other demons are fallen angels for having freely refused to serve God and his plan.
Their choice against God is definitive, they hate man and try to associate him with their rebellion against God.
In dreams: the devil or Satan is equivalent, for the dreamer, to seeing his darkest part of which he is fully aware but which he tries to hide from himself and others.
Obviously, as often happens in the smorfia, there is also a meaning that has to do with sex. Dreaming of the devil could represent a sort of frustration or repressed sexual desire, but also a lack of confidence in one’s own abilities in the various situations that life places before him.
