Week 6 or Week 3
I’ve been invited almost at the same time by Wim Lecluyse and Roberto Teodoro to list the ten records that have influenced me the most.
I spent my adolescence listening to The Cure, I know by heart the lyrics of almost all the songs contained on the official albums up to ”Wish”.
”Wild Mood Swings” has betrayed and broken my heart. I only listened to it once, I put it away and since then it has accumulated dust.
I urgently needed something that would fill the void and my favorite radio show, punctual as always, came to my rescue. One night they passed ”You Moved In” by Smog and ”You Have Cun In Your Hair And Your Dick Is Hanging Out” by Palace Music.
since then I often associate these two artists.
Between ”The Doctor Came At Dawn” and ”Arise Therefore”, both published in 1996 as ”Wild Mood Swings” I choose the first, just because Will Oldham’s ”Riding” is from 1993.
”All Your Women Things”, ”Whistling Teapot (Rag)” and ”Spread Your Bloody Wings” have opened the doors of a new world.
