In 1991 Smith told Select magazine “I gave Mary a tape of it for a wedding present.” He recalled her reaction, “She went away to the other room to listen to it, then smothered me with kisses.”
If only we could give a copy of “Disintegration” to Robert.
We wouldn’t expect the same reaction from Mary to Robert’s gift but it would be nice to get to know him and know his opinion on the tape.
